NINDS Funding Strategy- FY 2013: National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke NINDS.

Non-Competing Awards:

• 3.5% budget reduction  (vs. expected 10% Continuing Resolution cut)
• upward adjustment of FY2013 awards issued with the 10% cut

Competing Awards:
New, competing renewals, and competing supplements:

• funding new applications up to the 14^th percentile
• anticipate awarding ~20% of all eligible competing applications
• modular grants awarded at ~87.5% of Council-recommended direct costs
• non-modular applications requesting over $250K Direct in any year awarded at ~82.5% of Council-recommended direct costs
