Nicholas Riveira, an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Laura Colgin’s lab, won a 2021 American Physiological Society Hearst Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. The Hearst Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) programs provide fellows with a hands-on research experience in the laboratory of an established APS member, professional development activities and an opportunity to present their research at the APS annual meeting at Experimental Biology.
